What Sponsored means

Sponsored means the store paid for that position in the list; the label is always shown and the price is the real price.

Always labelled

A paid position carries the word Sponsored (in Arabic, إعلان) on the row itself. We never hide or shrink it.

What a Sponsored position can and cannot do

• There is at most one Sponsored row in each block of 5 rows.
• A Sponsored offer can move ahead of a cheaper offer only when its total is at most 10% higher. It never jumps a bigger gap.
• Offers that are out of stock are never Sponsored.
• The Cheapest badge and the price at the top of the page always belong to the lowest total, not to the Sponsored row.
• The price shown is the store's real price, the same as without the placement.

How a store wins the position

Stores bid a small amount per click. For every list we compare the bids, weighted by how close each store's total is to the cheapest one and by the store's rating. A store with a much higher price or a poor rating needs a much higher bid, and the price limit above still applies.
