Searching with a photo

Take or choose a photo of a product and we look for products whose pictures look like it.

What we send

The photo you choose, as it is, and nothing else. It can be up to 5 MB, in JPEG, PNG, WebP or HEIC.

What we keep

Nothing. Our image service reads the photo in memory to compare it with product pictures and to read any printed text, then discards it. It is not stored and not written to our logs.

How accurate it is

Photo search finds products that look similar, not necessarily the exact model. Colours, sizes and neighbouring models often look alike, so check the model on the product page. Clear text on the box, such as the model name, helps; we read English text only. When nothing is close enough, we say so and show the closest matches.

Limits

You can run 20 photo searches per minute. When photo search is switched off, the page tells you; use the barcode scanner or search instead.
